There are some business decisions you don’t think much about: where your dollars are going, and what impact they might have. Cleaning is one of them. But it doesn’t have to be.
Want to receive customized, world-class cleaning while providing meaningful work for people who face barriers to employment?
Clean Ventures offers a highly-trained, highly-skilled workforce from many backgrounds: people who are Deaf or hard of hearing, newcomers, and those living with disabilities.
What started as a collision of great ideas is now an innovative social enterprise for Manitoba Possible. Through our experience delivering world-class commercial cleaning service to world-class venues like the Assiniboine Park Zoo, Qualico Family Centre, and the Pavilion at Assiniboine Park, our staff and our organization have found a winning model. We’re confident onboarding businesses of any size and cleaning needs.
We learned a lot about what makes our staff and a business comfortable with our services – and it has a lot to do with our custom orientation process.
Now that we’ve figured out the path, everyone benefits from the outcome: great cleaning service for a competitive price; fair wages plus benefits to our diverse workforce; and a business model that helps Manitoba Possible pave the way for a more inclusive society.
What we do
Clean Ventures’ staff is specially trained for construction cleans and comprehensive custodial work.
In addition to general office cleaning (floors, bathrooms, garbage/recycling removal
and dusting), we offer seasonal or post-renovation deep cleans, office moves (including packing services), specialized industry cleans (like commercial kitchens) and structural cleans (like ducts and windows).
How we do it
There are a few ways we work differently than most cleaning providers. There’s no one size fits all here; we provide a thorough orientation process and a customized approach for all clients.
Generating a comprehensive cleaning checklist for your space, we provide job notes after each visit, which works as a two-way communication tool – and ensures your satisfaction each time we’re there.
Why it matters
Through our vocational rehabilitation program at Manitoba Possible, formerly Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, we noticed our job-ready candidates still have trouble finding gainful employment. So we decided to take matters into our own hands.
Now, Clean Ventures is a profitable social enterprise that provides meaningful work to people who face barriers to employment, with a business model that helps us pave the way for a more inclusive society.
Get to know you
(and your needs)
Beginning with an onsite consultation with your facility or office manager, Clean Ventures builds a custom quote and cleaning checklist for your space.
The checklist works as a two-way communication tool – you’ll get an overview
with job notes after each clean, and you’ll have the opportunity to leave notes for our staff for the next time.
During this first visit, we also gather photos for our staff who primarily communicate visually. We do a thorough sweep of the building, taking photos so staff can get acquainted with the space and its specific cleaning requirements.
Activate our partnership
Want to take it a step further? We offer fun, light-hearted cultural training workshops through Manitoba Possible. Learn more about Deaf culture (and maybe even learn a new language!).
Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) values Manitoba Possible's goal of providing meaningful and sustainable employment to Manitobans with disabilities. We look forward to a long working relationship with Clean Ventures meeting the custodial needs of APC's park and zoo facilities.
